CELEBRATE RECOVERY

(Matthew 5:2-11)

2 And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying: 3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. 5 “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. 6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. 7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. 8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. 9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons[a] of God. 10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. - Jesus

Celebrate Recovery is a 12-step, Christ-centered recovery program with anyone facing hurts, habits, or hang-ups. Everyone faces trials, tribulation, and obstacles that they just can't seem to get past. We feel that perhaps it's best we face this big things together and help each other get through them and find victory.

Nothing says victory like Jesus, the only one to live the perfect life in perfect obedience to the Father, find perfect, undefeated victory against temptation (even when tempted by Satan himself), and had the courage to lay down His life for the good of humanity, finally conquering death and raising Himself from the dead and continuing to minister unhindered to the lost and broken.

This is the perfect model for us to follow, and we receive even more insight when we look at the lives of the Apostles that followed him, in their very human, very imperfect attempts to do what He did. Even Paul, who wrote most of the New Testament struggled with things he couldn't seem to beat, and yet he persevered and planted countless churches, building up leaders and preaching the Gospel until he died.

With these examples to follow and a strong family to help each other along, we, too, will find victory; victory over addiction, pornography, past trauma, and even the bad habits we sometimes take for granted like anger, jealousy, and arrogance. Regardless of what you're facing, we hope you'll bring your problems here and join the battle to find victory for you, your loved ones, and your future.
