OUR BASIC BELIEFS
THE BIBLE is our full and final authority for all matters of faith and practice. We hold the Scriptures to be truthful and without error in their meaning.
THE PERSON of JESUS
CHRIST is the central figure in the church, the ultimate personal revelation of God to humanity, and the
sole and sufficient savior of all who accept and trust him.
We acknowledge that Jesus - along with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit - is uncreated deity, and yet lived here among us as a
human being.
THE GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST is the central message we proclaim, and the central reality we celebrate in our worship of God. This "good news" is:
1) His divine nature and sinless life gave Jesus Christ victory over every enemy of humanity, even death and judgment.
2) In love he willingly died a substitutionary, sacrificial death on the cross in our place for our disobedience and rebellion against a just and holy God.
3) He was raised to life that we might live a new-and eternal life in and for him by the power of the Holy Spirit (that is, that we might be "born again" by God's grace into an incorruptible life through faith in Jesus Christ).
